"If you’re ever in Kaikohe, do yourself a favour and stop by Cafe Ihalaam – it's the kind of place that instantly feels like home. Tucked away in the heart of Northland, this cosy little café is a true local treasure. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, welcoming vibes and a spotless, inviting space that makes you want to settle in and stay a while. The décor is simple yet charming, giving off that perfect blend of homeliness and comfort. Now let’s talk about the food – incredible value for money! The menu has a great variety, with something for everyone, whether you're after a hearty breakfast, a classic lunch, or just a sweet treat and coffee. But the absolute standout? The fry bread. Hands down the best I’ve ever had – golden, fluffy, and made with love. It’s the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Service is friendly and down-to-earth, just like the community it’s a part of. No pretension – just good food, good people, and a good vibe. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Cafe Ihalaam is the kind of place that makes you feel like you’ve found something special. Highly recommend!"
